Ocean Keeper Club Batch 3 Sets Sail

Coral Triangle Center (CTC) has officially launched the third batch of Ocean Keeper Club, a year-long program designed to inspire and empower young ocean guardians. On July 26, the first session kicked off with the theme “Mengenal Ekosistem Laut” (Getting to Know the Marine Ecosystems), bringing together 90 enthusiastic students and nine teachers from six local elementary schools in Sanur.

Each child received their own Ocean Keeper passport and certificate that will accompany them throughout the program’s 12-month journey. The sessions are carefully designed as a continuous series, each one building on the last, to help students deepen their knowledge of the ocean and its ecosystems over time.

The inaugural session ran smoothly, with lively discussions, interactive activities, and a lot of excitement. Teachers also actively joined in and shared encouraging feedback about the learning approach and the children’s engagement.

By joining the Ocean Keeper Club, these young learners are taking their first steps toward becoming advocates for the sea. With guidance, fun learning experiences, and a growing sense of stewardship, we are confident they will develop into active voices for marine conservation in their schools and communities.
