New Batch of Online Course: Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management (EAFM) Planning

Registration for Period II is Now Open!

Following the strong enthusiasm from participants in the first period, registration for the second batch of the Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management (EAFM) Planning Online Course is now open, offering more opportunities for participants to join.

This online course is self-paced and delivered in Bahasa Indonesia, developed through a collaboration between the Coral Triangle Center (CTC), the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia (KKP), and the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN).

Adapted from 14 EAFM training modules published by KKP in 2020, the course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to develop fisheries management plans using an ecosystem-based approach. Participants will explore eight learning units featuring case studies, interactive theory, self-paced exercises, quizzes in each unit, and a final assignment in which participants develop a fisheries management plan.

Registration for the course is open from March 16–31, 2026, with the course running from April 1 to July 1, 2026. Instructor-led sessions will take place during May and June 2026. You can register by visiting ctcacademy.net/elearning or directly through bit.ly/PerencanaanEAFM2. For more information, please contact ctcacademy@coraltrianglecenter.org

The training is also accessible through the online learning platform of the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Indonesia at emilea.kkp.go.id.
