CUCA Restaurant Team Explores Ocean Conservation with CTC

On 23 and 27 January 2026, a total of 55 participants from CUCA Restaurant Jimbaran visited the CTC Center for Marine Conservation in Sanur, Bali.

CUCA Restaurant is known for its strong commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. The restaurant has previously collaborated with Sungai Watch on environmental initiatives and is now exploring new ways to work with Coral Triangle Center to promote ocean conservation awareness among its staff and interns.

The visit began with a short presentation from our team, introducing participants to CTC’s work and our ongoing marine conservation programs across Indonesia and the Coral Triangle region. Participants then joined an interactive tour of the Exhibition Hall, where they explored a range of topics related to ocean conservation.

During the tour, participants learned about coral reef ecosystems, marine biodiversity, endangered marine species, and the growing impact of plastic pollution on the ocean. The session encouraged active discussion and questions, creating an engaging learning environment where participants could reflect on the role individuals and businesses can play in protecting the marine environment.

Beyond gaining new knowledge, the visit also provided an opportunity for CUCA staff and interns to connect their sustainability values with ocean conservation efforts. Through conversations and shared experiences, participants explored practical ways to contribute to more environmentally responsible practices in their daily work and lives.

This visit marks the beginning of a promising collaboration between CUCA Restaurant Jimbaran and Coral Triangle Center. We hope that this partnership will continue to grow through future programs and initiatives, strengthening collective efforts to raise awareness and support sustainable actions to protect our ocean.
